Flagstaff, Ariz. - HomCo Ace Hardware has taken its community impact global – to Afghanistan, to be exact.
The management team and staff at Flagstaff’s local hometown hardware store recently helped facilitate the delivery of 250 pairs of boot socks to Afghan soldiers fighting alongside American troops in Afghanistan. Flagstaff resident Jerry Smiley – whose son Jordan is an Army infantry officer serving with a cavalry regiment in a remote outpost along the Afghan-Pakistan border – approached HomCo Ace Hardware after asking Jordan what he could do help his battalion. He was surprised when his son told him to help the Afghans instead.
